Background

Child of the upper eschelons in search of something more, Angemont sought out something more than himself in the form of the stars and their boundless aether.The expectations to take up the mantle of familial responsibility in the church, the Temple Knights, or a gentleman of high social standings felt dull in comparison to the allure of knowledge. Taking apart the fabric of the universe to hold in one's hand was more than any frivolous party or engagement.After stealing away in the middle of the night, he applied as a student of the Athenaeum Astrologicum. Ange dedicated himself to his studies as a way to answer life's greatest questions pertaining to fate, destiny, and the purpose of life itself. Through this, he found humanity to be more than just a miracle of the sciences-- it was a miracle of theory and philosophy. Humanity itself, the mind, the body, and the soul drew him in.Through aether, all was connected, and he yearned for more.Beyond the walls of the Astrologicum was boundless aether, boundless souls all searching for purpose-- much more than the class room and its theories.He skipped his studies in the Astrologicum to travel south. Along the way, he read many a historical and aetherically charged tome to better expand his knowledge and craft.The practice of these magicks soon took its toll on him, causing bouts of chronic arthritis in his joints and tenseness in his chest which he's learned to tend to with the aid of crystalwork. Despite the physical weight of his studies, Angemont continued to travel, allowing his tarot deck to guide him on his way.

Personality

For one as well read as he is about humanity, he has yet to understand how to properly include himself among the general public. At a first glance, he might seem well-reserved, perhaps a bit standoffish, or even rude, but the truth behind all of that is that he is nervous to be anything other than the man his family shaped him to be: hoity-toity and upper-class.He would gladly sit down and speak with someone about the things he has studied, even invite another to participate in an active conversation as opposed to forcing someone to listen. However, when he is in the seat of the 'listener', it is difficult for him to actively engage or even pay attention. There are a million places for his thoughts to travel.Becoming close friends with him is difficult, to say the least, but not impossible. Sometimes a bit of persistence and bluntness is all it takes to get your point and intentions across.Despite his introverted nature, he does have a social side to him and he does have a desire to fill his world with all manner of interesting people.
